Amiga, der doch nur ein PC ist

Fur RasPi ist mir nur Aros bekannt. AROS ist aber zum AmigaOS nicht kompatibel.

AROS ist nicht zum AmigaOS kompatibel? War es denn nicht mal Ziel von AROS auf API Ebene vollständig kompatibel zum AmigaOS3.1 zu sein?

Auf der Homepage steht zumindest aktuell noch:

The goal of the AROS project is it to create an OS which:

- Is as compatible as possible with AmigaOS 3.1;
- Can be ported to different kinds of hardware architectures and processors, such as x86, PowerPC, Alpha, Sparc, HPPA and other;
- Is binary compatible on Amiga and source compatible on any other hardware;
- Can run as a stand-alone version which boots directly from hard disk and as an emulation which opens a window on an existing OS to develop software and run Amiga and native applications at the same time;
- Improves upon the functionality of AmigaOS.

Und wenn ich das richtig verstanden hab, soll klassische m68k-Amiga Software, die nicht für AROS compiliert wurde, zumindest über deren JanusUAE ausgeführt werden. (siehe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_5OBinDJq8 Wobei man hier als Vorteile, gegenüber MorphOS wo man das klassische Zeug über den JIT jagt, den eigenen Speicher und die vollständige Emulation des Chipsatzes sieht. Abgesehen davon wird der UAE wohl aber nur auf x86-Kisten anständig performen ;-) Ich sollte mir AROS auch mal wieder angucken, das ist bei mir bestimmt schon 3 oder 4 Jahre her...
